The Cry of a Willow Tree
Two eyes energetically connect and the brain has left,
A future unknown of sudden death.
Revealing time commits the most theft
Heavy weight compresses the chest,
limiting breath.
Hexed with this wretched curse I can’t out run,
As a web is delicately woven you rarely see the sun.
Resonating ache branded on my bones,
Smacked with whispers of your cologne.
We are no longer skipping love stones
As I feel the repercussions of our cyclone.
Four walls begin to close in,
Suddenly claustrophobic
An impossible soul to be boxed in,
A being of the aerobic.
Resurfacing immense demons I previously fought
Sticky safety threads encase me, I’m caught!
Remembering, I already redefined this thought
Trust I have tamed this fiery heart into a sunspot.
Light reveals unique answers from how life is spun
Hidden webs glisten in the willows’ leaves as though shunned
Lungs remind me of a simple reality
Breath to center the disruption in Chi.
Unlock the minds eye with a skeleton key
Healing deep burns inflicted on a willow tree.
